Not a replacement for your PIMS
urVetMD does not ask you to replace your workflow. It connects what you already do to the animal’s record, so the history you build travels with the patient. Two systems connect by API in both directions, and two by file import and export.
Connected by API, both directions
ezyVet: through its REST API, patients, vaccinations and prescriptions move in both directions.
Vetspire: through its GraphQL API, patients, encounters, vaccinations and prescriptions move in both directions, with a webhook receiver for changes.
Connected by file
Cornerstone (IDEXX): import patients, owners, vaccinations, medications and diagnoses from CSV or XML, and export back as files.
AVImark (Covetrus): import patients, owners, vaccinations, medications, diagnoses and allergies, and export back as files.
What you gain by connecting
Your work outlives the visit. It travels to the next owner, the next practice, the shelter and the emergency hospital at 2am. Tags, chips and biometric identities resolve to the same record, so an animal that turns up somewhere unexpected is still a known animal.
You can also generate a bulletin of lost animals near your clinic to post or hand to clients.
